Bio: I am a husband, father and I have survived cancer, an equal opportunity disease, three times. Strike 1 (1995): One of my radiation oncologists gave me a 50% chance of surviving tongue cancer three years disease free. Strike 2 (1997): Neck cancer restarted my recovery clock. And strike 3 (2008) I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Fortunately, my life isn't a baseball metaphor, although cancer forced my family to rearrange our priorities and live life constricted to pursue its greatest opportunity−love that thrived on hugs, quality time and laughter.
